Joany and the  More Gospel Singers zijn de absolute top in Nederland op het gebied van Black Gospel. De More Gospel Singers zijn geformeerd rond zangeres Joany Muskiet. Joany treed regelmatig op in de grote concertzalen van Nederland als Solist, maar ook met haar Singers en Moregospel Band of Koor.

De eerste Gospel cd komt uit onder de naam More Gospel olv. Continental Sound. Deze organisatie promoot Joany en haar cd in de Christelijke achterban. Door middel hiervan treed Joany en Moregospel regelmatig op in binnen en buitenland. Gospel festivals in Hongarije is ze vaak te vinden is met haar band.

Daarnaast heeft ze vele projecten op haar naam staan en treed ze regelmatig op met Verschillende bekende koren o.a. Gospel koor Share. De More Gospel Singers zijn internationaal bekend met hun grote avondvullende Black Gospel shows. voor uw huwelijksceremonie of kerkdienst. Opzwepende, inspirerende herkenbare hits worden voor u gezongen op een wijze die u en uw gasten gegarandeerd kippenvel zal bezorgen. Het bedrijfsleven nodigt Moregospel regelmatig uit voor feesten. Maar ook in het uitgaansleven vind u Joany en Moregospel en haar Singers en muzikanten.

Being raised in 2 different cultures, Morocco & the Netherlands, Kareem's music is all about bringing worlds together. Kareem’s productions find him traveling into a voyage through the labyrinths of music from all around the world, resulting in exploding Dj sets setting the dancefloor on fire, juicy projects and Kareem’s first album : Hitech Roots.

Dj Kareem Raihani’s wide-ranging approach to music has led him to play and collaborate with some of the most respected heavy weights in dance- & world music including: Francois K, Carl Craig, Theo Parrish, Shantel, Future World Funk, N.O.H.A., The Truby Trio, Dimitri from Amsterdam, Praful, Da Lata and many more. His musical journeys have been delivered in venues from Panama (Amsterdam) to the Paradiso, Bimhuis, Club NL, Off Corso, Lowlands, Oerol, World Port Jazz, Dance Valley, Mystery Land, Park Pop and performances in Spain, Belgium and the USA (WMC, Miami).

As he puts it: “for me, it's always dance music, there's not going to be any change in that”.

Martine is het zingende hart van het Open UP festival. Jarenlang zong ze in verschillende mantra-bands (o.a. op het Eigentijds Festival) en in de zomer van 2007 was ze voor het eerst te vinden op het No-Mind festival in Zweden.

Begonnen als klassiek pianiste, maar verloor al snel haar hart aan zingen. Haar missie is om anderen vrijuit te laten zingen en hen de 'magic' van meerstemmig zingen te laten ervaren. Samen zingen geeft een diepe verbinding en eenheid, en opent je hart, ook op dit Open-Up!

Martine Boerstra studeerde piano (klassiek) en zang (licht) aan het Sweelinck conservatorium te Amsterdam.Inmiddels heeft ze jarenlange ervaring in het zingen met ongetrainde groepen (van 10 tot 1600 man!) Ze is een zeer inspirerend zangtrainer gebleken, die haar deelnemers vanuit haar enthousiasme gemakkelijk meeneemt voorbij hun scepsis en onzekerheid, naar een nieuwe dimensie van openheid en verbondenheid.Velen benoemden het als een overweldigende, unieke ervaring om zo met collegae te kunnen zingen!

Zij zong haar harte klanken op verschillende CD's waaronder Bhaishjaya van Bhakti Music en de net verschenen nieuwe CD Mantra Power, uitgebracht door KiJay.nl  www.heartsinging.nl

Peruquois

The intimate raw power of Peruquois' voice carries audiences along a spiritual journey. Her song weaves the world music traditions of classical Indian ragas and the improvisational roots of jazz with the mysticism of the middle east. Praful komt het Open Up Festival met zijn magische (Bamboo-) fluiten en saxofoons verrijken.  Praful is een pionier waar het de versmelting van jazz, wereldmuziek en dance betreft: stond in Nederland al op zowel North Sea Jazz, Lowlands, Oerol, Innercity als Dance Valley.

Sinds het mondiale succes van zijn albums One Day Deep en Pyramid in your Backyard tourt hij de hele wereld over en stond al op grote internationale podia zoals Beacon Theatre (NYC,USA) en Hollywood Bowl (LA,USA).

Begin jaren ’90, op zoek naar verdieping en innerlijke rust, verbleef hij 6 maanden in de Osho Ashram in Pune, India. Sindsdien heeft hij meerdere CDs opgenomen met meditatieve muziek – de laatste, Where Spirits Live, werd vorig jaar op het Open Up Festival gepresenteerd. Hij treedt regelmatig op op andere spirituele Festivals zoals No-Mind (Angsbacka, Zweden), Quest (UK), Osho Leela (UK) en bv als Eckhart Tolles retreat gast samen met Carlos Nakai.

Voor de Mantra-koningin Deva Premal heeft hij veel van haar bekendste nummers gecomponeerd en het succesvolle album Dakshina geproduceerd.

Literally leaping into the UK music scene over twenty years ago, Sika was quickly recognized for the natural power of his performances and albums. Playing many instruments simultaneously; Didjeridoo, drums, flutes & percussion from all over the world. Often dancing wildly whilst playing Didjeridoo, while making hand, eye & body gestures, in a stunning spectacle of musical / physical magnificence.

The ‘Tribal Trance’ gig appeals to everyone. In the spirit of freedom, Sika also uses loops, electronic synths, samples and grooves to add more soundscapes to his already multi-dimensional experience.

Music to send you circling through time and space! With a discography fitting of an international artist, 10 albums, and a story ranging from playing with Aztecs on the great sun pyramid in Mexico City to Aboriginal people in the Australian desert, to numerous performances at Glastonbury Festival. Even Westminster Abbey & NZ Embassy played host to his extraordinary sounds. Include 18 times around the world on tour in USA, NZ, AUSTRALIA & UK. This man has been at the beginning of the Didjeridoo’s renaissance and has added a unique colour to the alternative music genre.

Sika played in several UK bands in the early 90’s. Frontman on Didj’ dancing to the exciting Trance/Ambient music in the popular band ‘Global’, in clubs like ‘Whirlygig’, London. Globals first album ‘Willy woman’ recorded with Sika as Didj player. ‘Walk Electric’ a Folk/Dance fusion band with Sika and lead electric violin. Also occasionally seen live with UK/AUS band ‘Kangaroo Moon’, formed by Mark Robson (born in the same forest as Sika). In 1995 the hugely loved duo ‘Caitlin & Sika’ formed, as both musicians and lovers. This launched both these highly accomplished artists into what was to become 14 years later, the voice of EarthSpiritMusic. Their albums and concerts have touched thousands of people worldwide and the beautiful couple continue inspire audiences with songs about living a Wild life. Today, Sika & Caitlin & their family enjoy a reclusive life in the mountains of New Zealand where they own a horse ranch. In 2009 Caitlin & Sika formed their own label ‘EarthSpiritMusic’. Primarily set up to cover the distribution of the diverse albums of this prolific musical collaboration, ESM is now moving into selling the films created by Caitlin & Sika.

One thing is for sure, once you’ve seen and heard Sika playing, your perception of what Didjeridoo is about will never be the same again! “Sika doesn’t just play Didj he becomes it” was once quoted from a fan after experiencing a Sika gig. But add to that his unique ability to play several instrument s at the same time and you have a musical phenomena.

Zasja

Zasja (Saskia Heijligers) is een singer-songwriter uit Utrecht. Als kind al schreef ze Engelstalige en Nederlandstalige popliedjes.
 
Na een lange reis via diverse toneelscholen in Nederland en België, eigen theaterprogramma's, met de gitaar reizend door Costa Rica en Honduras, dwars door een letterlijke en figuurlijke jungle kwam ze thuis bij haar bestemming: zingen en songs schrijven. Rootsliedjes-zoals ze ze zelf noemt.
 
Liedjes uit het hart over de maan, de liefde, de zon, de ziel. Jazzy, soulfull en poetisch, meestal in het Nederlands maar ook in het Engels en Spaans. Fluisterend als de zee of dampend als een vulkaan.
 
Zasja speelt zowel solo met gitaar of als duo of trio in wisselende semi-akoestische bezetting op cajon,piano en gitaar met mooie 3-stemmige koortjes. Op de website kun je o.a. de demo beluisteren.
